Software Help Needed: How to open old eWorld email

Stored on my Mac, I have numerous old email messages from my first Internet account… when I was subscribed to eWorld. I can no longer open the messages, because over time, I’ve lost the eWorld 1.1.4 application. I wish I could find a copy of the app. Then I could launch it using OSX Classic mode and then copy-paste the email contents to a text file.

I posted a message on LazyWeb hoping that perhaps someone still has a copy of eWorld 1.1.4 that I could download. Or, maybe there is another way to open the old emails?

Recently I learned that there is such a thing as a “criteria for a good distraction”. I am looking for more information about this idea. The list of criteria for the act, I found so far includes, 1.) burns energy; 2.) takes concentration; 3.) relaxes or soothes; 4.) repetitive; and 5.) can do it anytime.

Great Ideas, Aphorisms, and Inspirational Quotes

Fast Company article "Ways to Murder an Idea":http://blog.fastcompany.com/archives/2005/01/04/ways_to_murder_an_idea.html inspired me to request the book, Imagine, from Synectics Corp. I realize that the book is a marketing tool. However, receiving a copy already has helped me work on a couple of my personal goals that involve meditation and journaling. Each page has one or several great ideas, aphorisms or inspirational quotes. Additionally, the book is an excellent example of a quality piece of graphic art; content organization, text arrangements, and product size. This little book is the coolest thing I've received recently. I love it!

API

From webopedia [1]:

Abbreviation of application program interface, a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. A good API makes it easier to develop a program by providing all the building blocks. A programmer puts the blocks together.

Most operating environments, such as MS-Windows, provide an API so that programmers can write applications consistent with the operating environment. Although APIs are designed for programmers, they are ultimately good for users because they guarantee that all programs using a common API will have similar interfaces. This makes it easier for users to learn new programs.

skunkworks

(slang) A small, loosely structured corporate research and development unit or subsidiary formed to foster innovation.

Merge Common or Overlapping Goals

I want to be able to combine and/or merge entries (43 Things data) I have accumulated for one goal onto another. This would be especially helpful if I find someone has better articulated a goal and there is more complete discussion happening in the entries related to that goal.

Save Meaningful Quotes

I want to be able to tag or save the random 43 Things quotes as having special meaning to me.

Task List

I want to be able to create a related task list for each 43 Things goal. i.e.: a list of things to do perhaps works best for serious and/or long term goals.

Prerequisites

I want to be able to list any prerequisites for a 43 Things goal without creating an entry for the item.

Tag Goals for Time Span

I want to be able to sort my list of 43 Things by the type of goal. i.e.: is it a long term or short term goal? is it something silly or serious?. Maybe even be more specific about the time span, such as accomplish a particular goal during lunch hour during day job.

Illustrator

I need a plan, other than self-study, to improve my Adobe Illustrator skills. I would like to develop better artistry in original digital imaging, optimization of paths, and application of shading.

Photoshop

I need a plan, other than self-study, to improve my Adobe Photoshop skills. I would like to develop better artistry in photo restoration, original digital imaging, and optimization.

Charge the Battery

An important prerequisite to taking more pictures with my Canon PowerShot S50... is to clear the flash cards as well as charge the battery.

Having Done Something Doesn't Mean You're Completely Done

A true experience doesn't end with just one try.

Social Technology

Sounds interesting and I want to participate. However, this may just be me tagging onto the end of another fad.

Character Development

Watching all three movies sequentially, certainly allows one to examine the character development of Frodo, Sam and Strider.
